HONG KONG – SYDNEY – TAIPEI – BANGKOK CONTEMPORARY JEWELLERY vs ART vs DESIGN - the 1st contemporary jewellery touring exhibition from hong kong.
10 contemporary jewellers from 5 different nations have decided to push the boundaries and materialistic disciplines inherent in the nature of jewellery. Contemporary jewellery as art; it will be an interactive exhibition between audience and the jewellers with something original, something intimate, something crazy, something mad, something surreal and something unbelievable. The jewellers challenge the conventional creative methodologies that influence jewellery making and art as well as industry and the public. The exhibition will appeal specifically to local and global jewellers; engaging with people on an shocking level, in which the exhibition is titled, “WOHOOOH!!!”.
This exhibition, “WOHOOOH!!!” presents a link and revolutionary mindset between art and the consumer product. The works in the exhibition will show the audience a different approach to contemporary art and design in everyday life. It will encourage interaction between the audience and art, as well as rethink the nature of jewellery. “WOHOOOH!!!” is an energetic and passionate exhibition illustrating art and jewellery as a lifestyle.
